Mixology Training Funding Options

Making cocktail classes more accessible

2022 is turning into the year of change. So much has happened over the last 2 years it seems that things are finally beginning to revert to happier times. Not only has hospitality been hit badly by Covid, and we hate to discuss politics at work yet Brexit has had a massive impact on the numbers of staff available be they experienced or not.

Adding weight to our courses.

Venues are looking to either retrain or take on trained staff and there are some great opportunities for people looking to enter the hospitality industry. With this in mind, we have been looking closely at our Mixology school courses to work out how we can add even more weight to our qualifications. So the good news is that from Feb 22 we now include the WSET level 1 in spirits into our CPD Accredited Bartenders Certificate. This means that attendees of the course will be able to gain 2 qualifications in the space of a week. In addition to this, we have decided to put that course on over 5 consecutive Mondays meaning people who can’t find the time to take a week off can join us at our Mixology School in Hove, and over 5 Mondays can gain the same qualification.

Funding Options with Develop

In addition to the above changes to our curriculum, we have some really exciting news as we are now able to announce our new partnership with the Drinks Trust and their Develop Program.

Develop is a funding pot that has come about as a direct response to the crisis in hospitality with many experiencing a significant lack of skilled staff due to multiple Covid lockdowns, Brexit, and a national talent drain. Beneficiaries are able to apply for fully funded courses for academic growth and training with tangible career prospects upon completion.

Local team Mixology Group is thrilled to be a part of this incredible funding initiative with their Accredited Global Bartenders Certificate. The course runs monthly and offers a deep dive into the requirements to confidently run and work in the industry.
